Dormont police detained Angle after his wife, Donna, died early Sunday morning. Responding to an alleged domestic disturbance, officers found Donna Angle in the living room, where she wasn't breathing.

David Angle told detectives that he and Donna engaged in a verbal argument, which then turned physical. Angle then "grabbed both of her arms, pulled her off the couch, put his foot on her chest and then pulled," per Belculfine and Born.

Iannotti reported that medical examiners have yet to release an official cause of death for Donna Angle, and David Angle remains in custody in Allegheny County Jail.
