Rachel Frederickson was beyond thrilled to win Season 15 of "The Biggest Loser." In an interview at "The Biggest Loser" finale, she revealed, "I feel so wonderful. I mean it's been — what a life-changing opportunity, a once-in-a-lifetime to get the second chance back and I've taken hold of it, I've run with it, and you know I'm taking charge of my life and it just means the world." However, with a 155-pound weight loss, many fans voiced their opinions that her transformation was drastic and unhealthy, per Us Weekly. The immediate controversy took its toll on the reality TV star.
Following her victory on "The Biggest Loser," Frederickson was represented by Today as a "Voice of 2014." She described how hard it was to be the subject of such harsh criticism, noting that it was hurtful. She wrote, "My self-esteem once again was affected by other people's voices — this time, the kind that live forever in Facebook posts or written in the pages of magazines." Yet, Frederickson embraced her inner strength in order to get through these tough times. She concluded her essay with some powerful words of wisdom, writing, "My question to you is this: What voices will you allow into your life to tell you who you are? Everyone's voice is powerful. Is your voice going to be one that tears others down or one that lifts this world up with positivity, hope, and love?"
